I've had the pleasure of being anesthetized by Dr. Dale Engen on at least four occasions within the last 2.5 years while receiving ECT to treat severe depression (currently in the midst of my second course of treatments). He is sensitive to his patients' illness, symptoms and needs. His sense of humour, textbook bedside manners and approachability all put his patients at ease in an environment that is highly anxiety-ridden. As far as competence, he is regarded by staff at Providence Care, the psychiatrists AND the nurses, as being one of the best in his field. EVERYONE is happy when it's Dr. Engen who shows up to work.
