I went to see Dr. Hurley as an emergency situation. I was seen by both Dr. Hurley and Dr. Chan right away . After carefully examining my eye and extracting fluid to test, it was decided that I needed emergency intervention. He/they saw more than an eye issue.
I was rushed to emergency department where they found Staph Aureus and sepsis.
Because of their quick action and evaluation of me I was able to survive (it was that close!)
Suffice to say I hold Dr. Hurley in the highest regard. Not only does this doctor treat the issue - he deals with the whole patient. Not forgetting the impact of a situation on the person suffering. Very empathetic, compassionate and certainly passionate about his work.
I so highly recommend this doctor and the Eye Institute as well.
